Alex Knorre presents research at Interdisciplinary Policing Workshop

Alex Knorre, PhD, an assistant professor in the Department of Criminology, presented his research on racial disparities in gun homicides alongside John MacDonald of the University of Pennsylvania at the Interdisciplinary Policing Workshop, held Feb. 27–28 at the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training Center at Texas State University.

The workshop, organized annually by Ian Adams and Josh McCrain, convenes leading scholars in criminology, political science and economics to advance interdisciplinary research on policing and crime. The event provided an engaging forum to discuss new findings and foster cross-disciplinary collaboration on issues of public safety.

He also recently published a on the same topic, examining the Black-White gap in firearm homicide mortality in the United States from 1979 through 2023.
