USF and Sarasota County Schools partner to power the next generation of innovators

Beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, Brookside Middle School will transform into the Gulf Coast Academy of Innovation & Technology at Brookside, a new district-wide magnet. In partnership with the USF College of Education, the academy will offer rigorous, hands-on pathways to immerse students in hands-on, advanced STEM learning.
