Employee Assistance Program
An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a workplace benefit that provides support for employees facing issues that might be impacting their well-being, such as stress, financial, career, substance abuse, mental health concerns and more. Our EAP provider is Magellen Health Services, a national leader in behavioral health care.

How to Access EAP Services
- Call 1-800-327-8705 day or night to speak with a trained, caring professional
- Access the website for online services
- Magellan services are confidential, free and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.+
Online Access Instructions
1. Go to and choose either "sign in" for existing members or "sign up" if this is your first time visiting the site.

2. Returning users: Enter your username and password OR
New users: Sign up by creating a username and password. You'll also need to answer a few preference
questions about the topics you're most interested in.
3. You will be in the EAP dashboard and free to explore!

4. When entering topic areas, you will often be prompted with a screen that says "This program was offered to me by." Enter "USF" and your campus.

Critical Incident Response (CIR) Support Following a Natural Disaster
Through the EAP, you have access to on-site critical incident response (CIR) support.
Please reach out to your EAP via the toll-free: 800-327-8705 and select # 3. An EAP
clinician will provide a consultation and walk you through the process. EAP clinicians
are available 24/7 to provide assistance.
In the Moment Support for Employees
Employees have access to in the moment clinical support by calling 800-327-8705, selecting
option #2 for member and then option #3 to speak with a clinician. They may select
these prompts anytime during the message. Their clinicians are available 24/7 for
a consultation, assessment, and to refer to the appropriate resources.

Mental Health & Wellness in the Workplace Badge/Certificate
This important course, offered by the USF College of Behavioral and Community Sciences and The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, is 100% online, free, and open to the public, with the opportunity to earn certification and digital badging (Please note that there is an additional cost for the certificate/badge option).
