Faculty Champions: Rethinking Assessment in the Age of AI
What if your students could practice complex skills anytime, receive meaningful, personalized feedback, and apply what they鈥檝e learned through simulated, authentic scenarios that mirror real-world practice and human interaction, all without adding hours to your workload?
Join us on Wednesday, April 1 at 11:30 a.m. for our second Faculty Champions: Rethinking Assessment in the Age of AI session. This event will showcase how USF CBCS faculty Dr. Ryan Henry and Dr. Vicky Buckles have developed and are using authentic, role-play simulation assignments to provide low-risk, high-impact assessment activities. These approaches help students apply what they鈥檝e learned and better prepare for real-world work.
The presenters will:
- Demonstrate the simulation in action from the student perspective
- Explain how they designed, developed, and refined the AI role-play simulations
- Share lessons learned, challenges encountered, and practical fixes
- Discuss student engagement, and early data on learning outcomes
- Explore how this AI role-play simulation assessment model can transfer to your own course
