CHAMPVA
Point of Contact: School Certifying Official (SCO)
CHAMPVA (Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Department of Veterans Affairs) is a VA health benefits program for the spouses, dependents, and survivors of Veterans who meet certain service-connected disability requirements. If you are covered as a dependent child, your benefits normally end at age 18. To keep them through age 23, you must prove you are enrolled in school.
School Enrollment Certification:
CHAMPVA must receive your school certification letter within one month after your first term begins. We ask that you update your certification each subsequent semester so your enrollment stays current. Submitting late can cause a gap in coverage.
How to submit through our office:
Bring or email your request to our office at the beginning of each semester. The request can be emailed to the main SCO email above or can be sent to our main address. One of our SCO's will sign the letter, and our front desk will fax it to CHAMPVA
for approval. If you would like confirmation that we received and submitted it, please
notify our office.
The letter can be found here: CHAMPVA School Enrollment Certification Letter
